MEET MUSKET MINIATURES Meet the Crew

Musket Miniatures is a family owned and operated business. Jim McCarron is the General Manager, assisted by son Jeff and wife Mary. Long time friend John Mumby also helps out during vacations from his teaching occupation. All Musket Miniatures and Rustic Rails products are designed, sculpted, molded and produced by this crew in our 2800 sq. ft. shop in Broomfield, CO.

Jim McCarron

Jim is the General Manager of Musket Miniatures/Rustic Rails. He started making military miniatures as a boy and continued to do so through college where he earned an advance degree in microbiology. He started a part-time miniatures business in 1976 while continuing his career with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. In 1994, he retired as Deputy Laboratory Director and expanded the miniatures business into a full-time operation. Jim has designed many of the company's military and railroad figures, structures and detail parts. He also can be found doing office and production work as needed.

Jeff McCarron

In 1995, Jeff became a partner in Musket Miniatures. Jeff's passion is wargaming World War II and this interest led him to conceive and design Musket's 15mm WWII line of buildings and wargame accessories. He has created and painted numerous displays and conducts painting classes at conventions and at Caboose Hobbies in Denver (one of the nation's largest model train stores). Jeff works for the Tri-county Health Dept. and helps in our shop on a part-time basis. He and wife Shelly live in Firestone, CO and have a son and two daughters.
